Our products and services include:
- Computer Generated Holograms (CGHs) enabling interferometric testing of optical surfaces – aspheres, freeforms, cylinders, conic sections, and many other complex surface shapes and optical systems
- Mechanics for precise positioning and alignment of CGHs and test optics
- Development of complete optical test setups for the fast-growing commercial space telescope industry, consumer electronics customers, the semiconductor lithography industry, and many other applications.
Essential Functions
IT Services & Systems Administration
Support day-to-day IT operations for approximately 35 employees, including hardware setup, user onboarding/offboarding, and troubleshooting.
Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
Assist with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) identity and access management, including user/group management, conditional access, and MFA configuration.
Support Microsoft Intune device enrollment, policy management, and software deployment across Windows endpoints.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, access points, VPNs, DHCP, and DNS.
Assist with hardware procurement, configuration, and lifecycle management.
Provide general technical support and maintain documentation for IT systems and procedures.
Support a continual improvement process for AI tool governance and administration under established organizational policies.
Cybersecurity & CMMC 2.0 Compliance
Assist with AOM’s CMMC 2.0 Level 2 compliance program under NIST SP 800-171.
Support policy management tasks including drafting, reviewing, updating, and tracking information security policies.
Help coordinate and track employee security awareness training and policy acknowledgments.
Assist with logging, monitoring, and reporting activities to support audit readiness.
Contribute to System Security Plan (SSP) maintenance and related compliance documentation.
Support identification and remediation of security gaps across IT systems and processes.
Software Quality Assurance & Testing
Execute manual test cases and exploratory testing across internal software applications.
Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting detail.
Assist in developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and QA documentation.
Participate in the software development lifecycle by providing structured QA feedback to developers.
Perform regression testing following software updates or bug fixes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and testing practices.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess these skills and qualifications:
Required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience or certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft).
- Solid foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to document technical processes clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a small-team environment.
- Genuine curiosity about technology and a desire to learn across disciplines.

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and/or M365 Business Premium.
- Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171 or CMMC.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and defect tracking tools.
- Basic scripting or programming experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
- Experience in a compliance-sensitive or government-contracting environment.
